NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The New York State
Insurance Fund has awarded a 45 percent dividend to approximately
484 members of the United Restaurants of New York Worker's Compensation
Safety Group #556, according to Adam Friedlander, group manager,
who heads Friedlander Group®, Inc. The dividend applies to group
members whose policies were effective during the year of September
30, 1998 to September 30, 1999.
Friedlander said the dividend is in addition to the advance
premium discount of up to 35 percent that the group is accorded.
He said that this means a member with a standard premium of
$10,000, paid only $3,575, after discounts and dividends. The
New York State assessment is deferred until dividends are paid,
he added.
Pointing out that restaurant owners in the group have continued
to earn premium savings, Friedlander said that the management
group has been enhancing underwriting and claims processes.
The Friedlander Group Inc., manages two other workers' compensation
safety groups. The Retail Group of NY #544 recently paid a dividend
of 45 percent and the Wholesale Group of NY #551 recently paid
a 45 percent dividend, in addition to up to 35 percent advance
discounts. Since the inception of the three groups, a total
of $20,791,810, in dividends have been paid to members, in addition
to the advance discounts, Friedlander said.
The management group provides the specialized services: experience
modification premium recoveries, professional guidance in claims
reporting and self-imposed deductibles, quarterly loss analysis
reports, and specialized loss control services and training,
Friedlander said.
