What is the Financial Services Group Workers’ Compensation Safety Group?
The Financial Services Group Workers’ Compensation Safety Group #558 is a collection of safety-conscious financial services agencies in New York State that receive low-cost, fully insured workers' compensation insurance through the New York State Insurance Fund.
Eligible members include insurance agencies, securities firms, banks, financial institutions, credit services, accounting firms, banking and trust companies, insurance companies, and clerical service contractors providers located in New York State that have a proven track record of safety.
Subject to loss history, qualifying members may receive an upfront group discount of up to 35%. The individual premiums of the group members are pooled and, after paying claims and expenses, the profits of the group are returned to members in the form of a dividend.
Since 1994, our average paid dividend to financial service providers is 39%.
WHO QUALIFIES?
Financial services providers with the following payroll classification codes qualify for the Financial Services Safety Group of New York #558:
- 8810 Clerical (restricted to insurance agencies, securities firms, banks, financial institutions, credit services, and accounting firms)
- 8855 Banking and Trust Companies (All Empl.) - Clerical and Sales and Drivers
- 8723 Insurance Companies and Clerical and Salespersons
- 8803 Clerical Service Contractor - Traveling
